According to the Herald, Zimbabwe’s tobacco export revenue in 2023 will be US$1.2 billion, compared with US$975 million last year.
According to the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board of Zimbabwe (TIMB), as of December 15, 2023, the country had exported 233.9 million kilograms of tobacco leaves.
The average price for these cargoes is US$5.23 per kilogram, up from US$4.96 per kilogram in the same period in 2022.
