Previously, Vietnam's Ministry of Health warned that these new tobacco products pose serious health hazards to smokers and those around them, causing a variety of diseases and even increasing the risk of cancer.

At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Bureau instructs the market management team to strengthen inspections and market management based on the threats posed by these products to health, and severely crack down on violations such as the transportation, purchase, sale and operation of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products, so as to promptly detect and deal with.

According to statistics, from 2022 to October 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Bureau has inspected and handled 90 cases of violations, fined more than 1.4 billion VND (approximately RMB 420,000), and destroyed approximately 2.8 billion VND (approximately RMB 420,000) worth of products.
