Turkish security services successfully cracked large-scale tobacco smuggling case

According to IHA’s report on January 16, security personnel in the Dörtyol and Payas areas of Turkey’s Hatay region achieved significant success in conducting rigorous investigations into smuggling activities. A huge consignment of smuggled tobacco, cigarettes and tobacco products was seized during a sweep of shops and homes.

The security services showed great determination in investigating smuggling activities and successfully intercepted a man named R.Ç. suspects. The suspect was carrying a large amount of smuggled goods, including 12,400 tobacco sticks, 1,170 packs of cigarettes, 980 filled tobacco sticks, 9 bottles of e-cigarette oil, 14 e-cigarettes, 100 cigars, 3 kilograms of smuggled tea and 400 grams of shisha tobacco. .

This case is no longer just a simple tobacco smuggling case. Three suspects related to the case, R.Ç. (R.Ç.), F.A. (F.A.) and M.S. (M.S.), have been formally prosecuted.
