Public Health England Northern Ireland encourages public feedback on Smoke-Free Generation policy

Recently, foreign media 4ni reported that the Public Health Agency of Northern Ireland (PHA) welcomed the progress of UK-wide public consultation in the formulation of smoke-free generation policies.

On October 4, the UK Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) published an order paper titled "Stop the Start: Our new plan for a smoke-free generation", which aims to prevent the future by creating the first 'smoke-free generation' Generations have been harmed by smoking.

The PHA welcomes this UK-wide public consultation – ‘Creating a smoke-free generation and tackling youth vaping: your view’ – and encourages people in Northern Ireland of all ages to make their views known by submitting feedback. This consultation will last until 23:59 on December 6, 2023.
