Philip Morris International CEO Jacques Olzak recently stated that they will not launch IQOS devices in the United States until the heated cigarette IQOS ILUMA is approved for marketing in the United States. Philip Morris International plans to sell IQOS in the United States in 2025.
The expansion of non-nicotine products is no longer a priority for Philip Morris International, and the company abandoned its goal of reaching $1 billion in net revenue from sales of these products by 2025. Philip Morris International will focus on IQOS and ZYN nicotine bag products. Their goal is to have more than two-thirds of the company's net revenue come from smoke-free products by 2030. The company expects revenue from sales of ZYN and other nicotine pouch products in the United States to reach $2 billion in 2024.
