According to ilmessaggero news, on January 17, 2024, Italian tobacco sellers launched an e-cigarette recycling operation. The project was jointly launched by Logista Italia and the Italian Tobacco Federation to deal with the end-of-life cycle issues of e-cigarette devices.
By setting up special recycling points, consumers can properly dispose of discarded e-cigarette equipment while purchasing tobacco to avoid adverse impacts on the environment.
Logista provides a simple recycling solution. Users only need to put the e-cigarette into the dedicated recycling box at the tobacco sales point, and Logista will handle the rest of the process. Additionally, users do not need to purchase new equipment to recycle. At the same time, while assisting in the disposal of discarded equipment, Logista also reports relevant data on recycling and transportation to Ministero dell'Ambiente to ensure full traceability.
