Recently, according to the Arab News Network Elbalad, Egypt’s Presidential Advisor on Health and Prevention Dr. Mohamed Awad Tageldin discussed the dangers of e-cigarettes.
"It took decades for global institutions to recognize that smoking is harmful to health and has documented the continuing problems caused by smoking," Mohammed told Citizen Home in a telephone interview.
He added: "When people started to reduce their use of traditional cigarettes, these companies started to produce other types of tobacco (e-cigarettes) and claimed that they did not contain the same hazards, but it has indeed become clear that these types or ways of smoking are harmful in some "They may be less harmful than regular cigarettes, but they are not safe, and after thorough research, the World Health Organization issued a statement that their use is not recommended and that they are harmful to health, with immediate and long-term concerns."
He pointed out: "Smoking of any type has major problems for smokers, and the big problem with e-cigarettes is that the side effects only become apparent after a long time. Smoking consumption in Egypt is still very high."
