Chairman of the Community Safety Alliance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, calls for the early passage of the Tobacco Products Public Health Control Bill 2023

According to news from the Malaysian media "Oriental Daily" on November 14, Tan Sri Lee Lam Tai, chairman of the Kuala Lumpur Community Safety Alliance, said that due to the convenience and low price of online shopping for e-cigarette products, the use problem among teenagers has become increasingly serious and has aroused widespread social concern. Li Lintai emphasized that the submission and passage of the "Tobacco Products Public Health Regulation Act of 2023" (GEG) is crucial.

Tan Sri Lee Lam Tai believes that the use of e-cigarettes among teenagers is almost out of control. For this reason, he calls on the government to adopt GEG as soon as possible to build a suitable legal environment to control the e-cigarette market.
